A friend is losing his sight today
he says, silence is death
and music, has become the comforter

I thought of you today
the tragedy, of a mother’s world fading
how music kept you sane, in the dark

Music is my friend today
tomorrow, and always
my sanity hangs on every note

  1. Oh yes, a mother. I was referring to my mother who lost her sight too. I should have put an apostrophe. Or should I? It’s one that always get me, mothers and mother’s. I think it’s Mother’s Day that causes the confusion. I always see that as many not one, but I think it’s actually referring to one. Thank you Dorna, and for pointing that out! 🙂
